Dick Rudzik—known today as Richard—built a successful career with Xerox during the 1970s, serving as a Sales Representative. He began his tenure in the Lexington office, where we first met in the early 1970s, and later continued his work from the Louisville office. For much of his time with Xerox, Richard served as the Kentucky state government representative, working as part of Paul Logsdon’s GEM team. In that role, he achieved notable success and consistently delivered outstanding results for both Xerox and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

In 1979, Richard transitioned from Xerox and began a new career as a massage therapist in Lexington. He quickly established a strong reputation for excellence in his field and was honored as “Best of Lexington” by ACE Magazine. His studio is located in Monogram VOCE on the Esplanade in Lexington—a refined, professional setting just off the heart of downtown, where a quiet, welcoming atmosphere reflects the same care and attention he has always brought to his work.

Today, Richard is retired and resides in Lexington, where he enjoys time with his two adult sons and four grandchildren. While he does not use email, he is available by phone or text using the number listed above.

Ron Hoffman

Ron Hoffman
Lexington, KY

Ron Hoffman spent the 1970s with Xerox, where he held several key leadership roles and built a reputation for both performance and mentorship. He began his career as a Sales Representative before advancing to the role of Duplicator Specialist—an especially demanding, quota-driven position that required him to achieve duplicator sales targets through the broader sales team. In this role, Ron trained, coached, and worked closely with representatives across the branch, helping elevate overall performance.

He was later selected to serve as an ASR Trainer, responsible for developing and preparing new hires, further demonstrating Xerox’s confidence in his leadership and teaching abilities. Ron’s career culminated with his appointment as the 9200 Manager during the initial rollout of the Xerox 9200 system.

He also played a central role in the successful launch of the 9200, working alongside Jim Connors and others to coordinate a memorable kickoff event at the Galt House in Louisville. The event was widely regarded as a success and was attended by notable figures including Colonel Harland Sanders of KFC and Xerox Vice President Jim Keil.

Following his time at Xerox, Ron continued his professional career with Humana, where he served in several roles over a number of years before retiring in Lexington, Kentucky.

David began his career with Xerox in the mid to
late 1960s as a GEM (Government-Education-Medical) Sales Representative serving the Kentucky State Government. From the very beginning, he distinguished himself through strong performance, sound judgment, and a natural ability to connect with people.

His success led to a promotion to Area Manager in Lexington during the 1970s, where he continued to excel. Dave earned numerous performance awards throughout his career, including multiple Xerox Presidents Club and Par Club trips—recognition reserved for the company’s top achievers. As a manager, he was highly respected for his leadership and his remarkable ability to “read” people, whether working with customers or guiding his team.

One story that captures both his leadership style and personality took place when Dave and the Lexington team hosted a dinner for Xerox Vice President Jim Keil. As a gesture of true Kentucky hospitality, they presented Mr. Keil with an authentic bottle of Kentucky moonshine—an unexpected and memorable gift that none of them would soon forget.

David and his wife, Diane, have built a wonderful life together, raising two sons and welcoming a grandson. Today, they enjoy retirement in beautiful Colorado, surrounded by family.

Derby 1976
My Xerox career began in September 1972. Apparently, persistence landed me the job as the first female Sales Representative to work in the Louisville Branch.  In 1986, after fourteen years, I left Xerox to become a Sales Manager for a local office supply and furniture company and became the Direct Sales Manager for Cellular One in 1987,  In 1990 relocated to Sacramento as their Major Account Marketing Manager.

In 1992, I was fortunate to return to Xerox, in Louisville, as an Outsourcing Sales Rep under George Hodgson, who was then General Manager.  I had a total of twenty years with Xerox before I retired in February of 1998.

Coincidently, in January 1998, I married Roy Whayne of Whayne Supply Company, one of my accounts at the time.  We were very happily married until August of 2007, when he passed away.

My two grown daughters are happily married and I am a proud Grandmother of five.  Caroline, my oldest is 8 years old, twins Ryan and Reid are 6, Hank is 3 and Hayden is almost 2.

Most of my time is spent tending to my grandchildren, whom I adore.  I am in a book club, a bridge club, on the Ballet Board, on the Holy Trinity School Board, and involved with Home of the Innocents.  I wrote a book entitled “A Grandmother’s Lullaby”, which you can view on my web site (agrandmotherslullaby.com).

11/3/20 @ 11:00 I received this email from Carol's Daughter Jennifer:

Thanks to everyone for" your support and prayers. My Mom was discharged for the hospital yesterday late afternoon. She is still moving slowly but in good spirits. I have her set up with home care and home nursing care. She continues to improve and her prognosis is excellent.

However, due to the fact that Mom is now a COVID 'extremely high risk' patient, we are asking that she not receive any visitors this week, so she has time to heal. I have heard that many people are interested in helping with food etc so I will be setting up a 'Meal Train' for her as soon as I can.

Once again- I would like to thank each and every of you for your prayers and support. Every prayer obviously helped bring Mom home, and Cindy and I can not Thank You enough for you support during this surprising situation.  If you wish, please send any get well notes to Carol's phone (text):  PHONE  or  EMAIL

Kincer was with Xerox from 1970 until April 1978.

After leaving in 1978, he and David Doll founded "Copy Corporation" (Canon Copier Dealer).  Kincer purchased Doll's interest in late 1979.  Copy Corporation was very successful over the next few years and became the largest independent copier company in Kentucky with offices in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, Owensboro and Evansville.  Copy Corp was sold to IKON Office Solutions 1989 and Kincer was given a contract to manage the business until 1996.

In 1990 Jim and his wife Joyce purchased two Louisville radio stations WFIA and WXLN-FM and operated both stations until they were sold in 1995.  (Jim's radio working experience began at 14 years old as a radio announcer (DJ) at his hometown radio station WNKY, until he attended college in Richmond, KY and worked through college at WEKY Radio Station and in his final year of college, he purchased WEKY and managed the station until he sold it in 1964. But he continued in the broadcasting industry in Lexington, Frankfort, Kentucky and in Amarillo, Texas until joining Xerox in 1970.

In 1992 Kincer was elected the Mayor Pewee Valley, KY . This was truly a challenging, interesting and educational experience!

I was with  Xerox from 1970 to 1979.  First in Lexington for K David Robertson and in 1973, Xerox moved me to Alaska until I left in 1979.
I had been in Anchorage in 1968, serving  as an Army officer after finishing college at FSU. After the service, returned to Florida in late 1970 to attend law school at FSU. After my 1st. year, (living in a trailer with two children, two jobs and going to law school), I decided "law" wasn't for me. That's when I interviewed for the job with Xerox.

In 1973, an old Army buddy, also with Xerox in Anchorage, ask if I would be interested in returning to Alaska to help start a Xerox Branch Office. We returned to Alaska for our new adventure and I stayed with Xerox through the oil pipeline boom. In 1979. Also, in 1979, my wife, Judi passed away 1989 from cancer. Judi and I had 2 children....Sharon Ann and Robert while we were in Alaska.

In the early 1980's, my current wife, Lee and I were married and raised my son and daughter.  We now have 5 grandchildren!  Rob has 2 and Sharon has 3.

For a short time, I founded a real estate development company but, in 1980 bought a small seafood company called 10th and M Seafoods. Throughout the 80" and 90's our seafood company grew into an international business. 10th and M Seafoods carries over 350 seafood products, processes and markets salmon and halibut to grocery chains, retail stores and wholesalers throughout the USA and Europe. We are also the largest shipper of perishables by Fed-Ex from Alaska.  It has been and continues to be very successful. This is a family business, operated today by my son Rob
