I joined Xerox in 1968, hired by Rich Fuchs and my first manager was Bob Smith.
30 years with Xerox, ten in sales, ten in service ten in the Agent Channel and it all went by too fast!  I had toooo many managers to list and tooo many to remember.

Left Xerox in 1998 and did nothing to speak of until my private parts grew back which were removed by the big X.

I finally did something for a few years; worked part time in several golf shops here in Louisville.  Had a ball!!!!  Little golf ball humor......

Also played some golf but had to retire from it also; too many back surgeries and I lost sight in my left eye.  I've got plenty of good excuses for bad golf....

My wonderful wife, Gay and I went to Italy for 3 glorious weeks and loved seeing all the sights and seeing where my parents were born.  While there, I was attacked by a band of gypsy girls in Rome.  I survived with my money and dignity in tact.

Had a great time working with Bill and Mark Hinton in the housing market until it went sour.  They are Great guys!!!!!

I am presently working part time selling golf carts for Cunningham Golf Cart Co. If you are in the market for a golf cart, give me a call.  I will sell it to you at the Xerox price ........you know what that means

Gay and I have been married for 46 years.....best 5 years of my life..

I have one wife
I have one son
I have one daughter-in-law
I have one grandson
I have one cat
I have one house
I have one regret.........and that is not being able to relive some the happiest times of my life being surrounded by the greatest people I have ever known.

Evansville Roadrunner
Evansville, Indiana

Jim was with Xerox from 1971 toll 1995
He worked for John Robison in Evansville as a sales representative and major account rep until 1977 at which time he was promoted to Sales Manager in the Madison Wisconsin office for 4 years, then spent a short time in the Xerox St. Louis Regional Office until 1984 at which time Jim accepted the Branch Manager position in the Memphis, TN Branch!  He worked the Memphis Branch for a few years and a short stint as a Xerox Negotiator and finally an Agent until he retired in 1995.  From Xerox, (after a short retirement), Jim accepted a position as a Regional Manager for Danka Office. Products.

Today, Jim and Cindy still live in Memphis, they both enjoy good health and their children.  Jim has always bought, sold and enjoyed Corvettes and Exotic cars (in fact he was a car dealer for a few years) and still does a little  today as a hobby.  He plays golf two or three times per week and they do little traveling.  Jim calls himself a "home body" and really isn't into travel very much.

Note from Jim Kincer: Bob was a sales representative in Lexington for K. David Robertson in the early 1970's during the same time  I worked there, along with Skip Winfree, Jim McCubbin, Ed Tuggle, George Hodgson, Bob Black, Ray Kemp, Glenn Baugh and Dick Rudzik.

Here is what Bob had to say when I first contacted him:

"OMG!  You can't imagine how often I think of Lexington, Xerox and the people I had the opportunity to work with. My success was the experience of being exposed to men and women who were very skilled, intelligent and it certainly helped me....I used all that I ever learned from those people in my future endeavors".

"All news about Xerox people is interesting to read.  My memory is still very strong and I can think back to many things which happened while at Xerox.....It was a good experience and I had a great opportunity to work with great people such as you and the other Lexington ASO people"!

"I learned more from my Xerox days than anywhere else I worked.  PSS (Professional Selling Skills) is still engrained in my mind!!  I have used these skills many times since I left Xerox in sales and non-sales positions".

"My greatest memory of you is when we (the team) created the movie (16MM!!), "The Day in the Life of a Xerox Salesman".  As I think about it now, for its time it was rather "edgy".  I am surprised we were allowed to even show it at the annual Regional Meeting".

"My Ft. Lauderdale training and association with the quality people at Xerox gave me the tools to spend twenty successful years with the Quaker Oats Company in Danville, Illinois".

"I finished my working career at The Quaker Oats Company cereal manufacturing plant in Danville, Illinois as a production supervisor.  It was mostly a great place to work!!!  I retired soon after it was sold PepsiCo"!

"The sale of Quaker brand to PepsiCo was fortuitous for me as I had been purchasing Quaker stock through the 401-K program for twenty years and the sale reaped a really nice escalation of stock values which continued to improve until my retirement!  Work became history...I thought.  I have been retired for over 14 years now and as much as I thought retirement might be slow and boring, I find it to be anything but".

"Soon after I left Quaker, I secured a teaching certificate to be a substitute teacher, to keep me busy.  I spent twelve years doing just that and, for the most part, loved every minute of it.  Many times I rued the initial direction of my college education toward business, when in fact, my real success could possibly have been as a teacher.  I enjoyed it immensely...even the less than happy parts when discipline was necessary".

"So, all in all, I have no real regrets with where life has taken us. Sandi and I have lived a good life and do the things that we want to do!  We live in Georgetown, IL, celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary this year, have four fantastic grandchildren and a two-year-old great-granddaughter.  We both have good health and I will take good health over anything else just about any day of the week"!

"Xerox was a fantastic company and the experience with them resulted in many extended excellent careers".   Bob Mahoney

I had the very good fortune to be Louisville Branch Manager from mid 1972 to mid 1974.  I was associated with a uniquely talented, motivated and fun group during those years, which represent some of the best of my 19 year Xerox career.
A young Marc

Marc piloting the Houseboat in 1974
From Louisville I went to Branch Manager, Kansas City, and then 9200 Program Manager in the Central Region, that position sucked, and finally Branch Manager, Chicago Major Markets.  After leaving Xerox in 1981 Michele and I relocated to California.

Professionally the next five years were more than challenging.
At the end of 1985, Louisville came back into my life. Jack Davis called.  He was with NTS at that time and they were looking for someone to represent their investment product on the west coast.  As I was then busily rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, I pursued the opportunity and have never looked back.

In 2013 I retired from my position as President of Cypress Capital Corporation, an Equipment Leasing company.  I was with Cypress for 14 terrific years and enjoyed every minute! Cypress closed my office and the opportunity to retire was right.

I have four adult children and 12 grandchildren.  They are all a joy. I travel, love to read, and work out fairly regularly. Fortunately, my health is still good and   Thank you Jim for putting this project together.  It has been a joy catching up with those I worked with in Louisville. They were great times!

After a successful sales career he was promoted to Manager in Lexington,  during the 1970's as Area Manager Dave won many performance and recognition awards and special Xerox Presidents and Par Club trips.  Dave was a very good sales manager and had an outstanding ability to "read" people (customers and employees).  I remember one time when Dave and the Lexington Team hosted a dinner for Xerox VP Jim Keil in Lexington.  As a special gift that Dave and the team presented Jim Keil was real authentic "Kentucky Moonshine"!  The gift was very unique and something Mr. Keil or the Lexington Team would never forget!

Ron was with Xerox throughout the 1970's and served in several leadership positions. He started as a Sales Representative, then as a Duplicator Specialist, a very difficult budget carrying, leadership role that required him to accomplish the duplicator targets through the regular sales team, he had to train review and work with the sales teams throughout the branch.  Later Ron was assigned the important job of training new hires (ASR Trainer) and finally he became the 9200 Manager when the 9200 was first introduced.  I remember Ron managed the "Kick Off" of the new 9200 with Jim Connors and others.  It was an outstanding Kick off at the Gault House in Louisville of which Colonel Sanders of KFC Fame and Xerox VP Jim Keil were present. After Xerox, Ron worked with Humana in several positions for a number                                              of years, until his retirement in Lexington, KY
