Barrington, IL - John P. Talbot, 88, of Palatine, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home. He was born June 15, 1930 in Island Park, New York. After 35 years, John retired as an Executive from Xerox. In his spare time he enjoyed race horses, fishing, and spending time at his beloved cabin in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. John is survived by his children, Leslie (Steve) Avery and John (Jill) Talbot; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, John "JP" and Megan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Caroline, Helen and Jill. A memorial for John will be held at a future date. Donations may be made in John's memory to JourneyCare Hospice Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010. Arrangements are entrusted with Davenport Family Funeral Home, Barrington. Mr. Talbot was a legend at Xerox. Not only for his leadership, but for his overall positive attitude and fun-loving personality. He will be sorely missed. I know that John Jr was very close with his dad....a great father/son relationship. God bless
