Debbie (Emanuel) Hyde

Obituary for Carl F. Hyde Jr

61, of Goshen, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Baptist Health Louisville hospital surrounded by his family.
Carl grew up in Louisville, where he graduated from Doss High School in 1974 and then attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. There he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He worked as a Dividend Specialist for Computershare and prior to that as a Financial Advisor at Hilliard Lyons.
Carl was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel, was a member of the Executive Club for Exceptional Performance at J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc. for multiple years, a member of the National Registers Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals, and a Certified Wealth Adviser. However, his most beloved title was that of Coach and Father.
In his spare time he enjoyed coaching and umpiring baseball, softball and basketball. He loved playing softball, fishing, watching his son play baseball and soccer, and his daughter dance and play tennis. If you didn’t find him there he might be organizing a group outing to Rough River, hosting a neighborhood fireworks show, or giving you the best belly laugh of your life with his rendition of “Bust A Move” or his “Barn Yard Shuffle”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Virginia Hyde.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Debra (Debbi); his children Courtney and Nick; his siblings Janice Westlund and Greg Hyde (Deanna).
Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd, East Louisville, with the memorial service immediately following at 6:00.
