Patti Bright, 59, of Louisville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on July 27, 2012.
Patti worked with us at Xerox in the early and mid 1970's until she fell in love and married Roger Bright, in 1978.  She worked in several positions at Xerox, but most notably as Sales Secretary for Dick Johnsen's team and served part time as the receptionist.  Patti made no enemies, only friends and everyone loved her.  All of her life, she loved animals, I personally remember when my daughter was a child, Patti, would, often take her horseback riding.  John Robison remembers that she had a big St. Bernard dog and when he would come to the Louisville Xerox office from Evansville, Patti would show him the most recent pictures of her St. Bernard. "She was a beautiful and very nice young lady" and will be missed by everyone who knew her!

A gentle, compassionate and loving woman, Patti dedicated her life to being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved animals and did a great deal of animal rescue. Patti's kind soul touched many lives and she will be deeply missed.

She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, Elbert Cecil "Jack" Wood and Ruby Riddell Wood; and her parents, Rudy and Daisy Scherzinger; along with numerous siblings. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Roger Bright, her devoted children, Angela Dawn Bright Gray (Kevin) and Andrew Wood Bright; stepdaughter, Dana Bright Wissman (Kris, Jordan and Reagan), and her most recent love in life, her grandson Jackson "Jack" Andrew Gray. She is also survived by sisters Myrtle Doyle, Donna James, and Lillian Osting and brothers Terry Scherzinger and Joe Rosenbarger. Patti had such a large and loving family, she also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All Patti ever wanted in life was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. Her whole world revolved around her family and those she loved. She found great pleasure in helping any person or animal in need. She had a beautiful heart and soul. Visitation and A memorial service was at Middletown Christian Church, 500 N. Watterson Trail, Louisville, KY.  The family requests expressions of love be sent to the Patti W. Bright Memorial Fund c/o Middletown Christian Church.
