BLOOMFIELD - Trent, Kenneth "Kenny," 70, passed away May 30 ,2012 at Jewish Hospital surrounded by people who loved him.

He was born in Chaplin, KY, served in the Air Force during the
Vietnam War and was retired from Xerox Corporation where he worked as a technician representative.

He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil Thomas and Virgie Cooksey Trent, his brother Benny Trent and a nephew Donald Trent.

He is survived by Shirley Trent; her children, Laura Hunter, Greg Ferguson (Vicki) and Chris Ferguson (Tammy); nine grandchildren; his sister, Betty Sue Pile, of Bardstown, KY; and one nephew and niece.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11a.m. from the Houghlin Funeral Home with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. Friends may kindly call Friday from 3-8 p.m. (an American Legion Service will be held Friday evening) and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Kenneth was loved and respected by many of his friends especially his American Legion friends at Post 288 in Bloomfield, KY, where he was a long standing member. He was also a lifetime member of the
VFW Post in Shepherdsville and the Salt River Masonic Lodge #180 in Mt. Washington. He will be missed beyond what words can express but only the heart can feel.
