Thomas E Ossenford (1938 - 1999)


Thomas Edward Ossenford, 60, died March 13, 1999, near Clinton, MO. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17 at the United Methodist Church in Clinton. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.  He was born December 19, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Clifford and Gertrude (Thomas) Ossenford. He received his MBA at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clinton and Ducks Unlimited. Survivors include his wife, Nancy and son, Adam; one sister, Judy Tremaine of Lenexa, Kansas, and two nephews, Mark and Steve Tremaine.


Tom worked with Xerox in Louisville, as Sales Manager, from the late 1960s and through the early 1970s.  Prior to coming to Louisville, he taught in the Xerox Training School in Ft. Lauderdale.  After Louisville, he was promoted to branch manager in Ft Wayne.  From Ft. Wayne to branch manager in Des Moines. Finally, Tom decided to return to Clinton, MO to teach school and as a great outdoorsman,  Tom also served as a hunting guide on land he owned around Clinton, MO.   


Tom Ossenford died of a gun shot while removing a gun from a gun rack in his truck.  Tom really was a great guy and everyone respected him.
